 Bongo Pets is new on the pet scene but no newcomer to the furniture industry. In fact, Bongo Pets' parent company,Delta™ Children's Products, is one of the world's top manufacturers of nursery and toddler furniture.
Founded in 2008, Bongo Pets is the brainchild of Louis Shamie - student, businessman and grandson of Delta Children's Products' founder Louis Shamie. For 40 years, families have grown with Delta cribs, children’s furniture and accessories. Today, Delta Children’s Products offers diverse products for infants, toddlers and the young at heart.
Louis' message to his grandson, Louis, is always “Make a quality product that is safe, functional and at the same time, affordable.” Louis carries this message on to Bongo Pets today and Bongo Pets' 2009 Collection stays true to the innovation, convenience, versatility, quality and value synonymous with Delta.
One day while Louis was working for the family business and designing a crib, Louis thought to himself "Wouldn’t this make a great bed for Bongo?" Louis' research found that there was nothing quite like his designs on the market. So Bongo Pets was born and for inspiring him, Louis named the company for Bongo.
Louis began designing pet furniture to be both comfortable and fun for pets as well as functional and sleek for pet owners. All of Bongo Pets' furniture is constructed using the finest solid wood and is tested following the same standards Delta follows to test all of their children's products. A quality control team is in place at the Bongo Pets factory to ensure all Bongo Pets products are of the highest quality.
Today, Delta's mission to produce innovative, convenient, quality and safe products is mirrored in all of Bongo Pets' products. Louis carries his grandfather’s message on to his products and looks to bring innovation to the pet industry in the future.
